Shan OgdemliHigh Desert Sunset, 2025Acrylic and diatomaceous earth on canvas
66 x 40 in$ 9,200.00
167.64 × 101.6 cm
Inspired by the amazing, ever-changing skies of Santa Fe. At times fiery and dramatic, they can also be serene and subtle, which is what I tried to capture here. It's like the sky has a personality of its own with shifting moods. -
Shan OgdemliParticle Collision Blue, 2025Acrylic and diatomaceous earth on canvas15" x 15"$ 850.00
Part of my Particle Collision Series inspired by particle collision experiments conducted at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Switzerland, where two high energy particle beams travel at close to the speed of light before they are made to collide, producing
a shower of tinier subatomic particles.

Shan OgdemliCosmic Note in Turquoise Mini, 2024Acrylic and diatomaceous earth on wood.8 x 8 x 2.5 in$ 490.00 Sold
20.3 x 20.3 x 7 cm
Inspired by cymatics, the study of sound made visible through light reflections on the vibration patterns in water. I’m fascinated by the ever-changing geometric patterns expressed by each note as its tone and harmonics change. -
Shan OgdemliShell Spiral Mini, 2024Acrylic and diatomaceous earth on wood.8 x 8 x 2.5 in$ 490.00
20.3 x 20.3 x 7 cm
Inspired by spirals in the shells of animals from the land and sea, in a color scheme symbolic of the Earth. The spiral is a geometric form that recurs across different natural phenomena from biological organisms to hurricanes, galaxies and our DNA. -

Shan OgdemliMagnetic Fields, 2024Acrylic and diatomaceous earth on canvas.36 x 48 in$ 7,500.00
91 x 122 cm
Inspired by images produced by astrophysicist David Chuss and an international team of astronomers capturing previously unseen magnetic force fields swirling at the center of our galaxy. It's my own visual interpretation, of course. To me, they resemble entities forming out of the ether. -
Shan OgdemliCat's Eye Nebula, 2024Acrylic and diatomaceous earth on canvas.60 x 60 in$ 12,000.00
152 x 152 cm
Inspired by the amazing Cat's Eye Nebula in the constellation of Draco, 3200 light-years away. It is composed of gas expelled by a star that died over 1000 years ago, leaving a white dwarf star at its center. I find it fascinating that the overlapping shapes of the gas clouds also resemble a flower. -

Shan OgdemliParticle Waves Purple & Aqua, 2023Acrylic and diatomaceous earth on canvas.18 x 18 in$ 1,400.00
46 x 46 cm
Part of my Particle Waves Series, inspired by the discovery that light exists in both particle form and wave form at the same time. It is also a study on the visual vibrational effects of the juxtaposition of opposing colors. -

Shan OgdemliBlue Sunflower, 2022Acrylic and diatomaceous earth on canvas.60 x 60 in$ 12,000.00
152 x 152 cm
Part of my Fibonacci Series, inspired by the mathematical sequence seen in many life forms, particularly plant life. This piece uses 21 spirals in one direction and 34 spirals in the other, the same sequence found in a sunflower. The light at the center is meant to inspire connection to the light of universal consciousness within each of us. -
