While driving to work one morning I was listening to the news. The story being discussed was about a candidate for Chancellor of Austria, who denied the Shoah, the Holocaust! I was a kid in New York in the post-World War II era. We saw the survivors. They were “other worldly”! They existed! My mind began to construct a story about the survivors. I like double entendres. I envisioned an elderly woman; just finished her shower. She is touching the living link to her survival from the greatest tragedy that man committed on man. And yet, she has a hint of a smile! She survived! And is the irrefutable proof of what is true!
