During the summer of 2020, I used a surplus of time spent indoors to examine the inner landscape of my mind. This period of introspection generated a new body of work which began by turning the camera back upon myself. I created a series of self-portraits titled “Covidtorians' ' which channel the madness and repression of women from the Victorian Era.

Bosom flowers were a popular trend in Victorian England where women would dry flowers as a hobby and use them to create an air of sensuality. This image shows some of the multiple faces that one can wear; one side tries to be prim and proper, whilst the other side is wilder as shown in the hair and the eye staring out through it.
