I witnessed my first snow in Santa Fe, and it came down in hard sharp lines, not the pretty flurry that I had imagined it to be. With the excitement of the snow, I pulled the car to the curb on Santa Fe Trail and, using a slow shutter speed, captured the car trails giving the vehicle an illusion of speed. The extended aperture also created an impressionist effect by blurring the car and the reflection of its taillights on the slick road, creating an inverted stoplight totem of red, yellow, and green of the tree limbs.
