After a very difficult journey, upon returning back to the US, I flew into a ghostly Newark Airport. I took a mostly empty plane to Logan in Boston and set up temporary residence at the Homewood Suites. Although I planned on it only being a two week stay, my quarantine evolved into one month because I had no place else to go. Days turned into nights and nights blurred into the day. The hotel was situated north of the airport next to a nearly deserted highway. At night when I couldn’t sleep, I would stare out the window looking for signs of life. Although it was early April when this image was taken, it snowed, adding to the desolation and grim reality of Covidtime.
