Two lovers interrupted in their rapture by a passing diversion. The first exploration of what I call "Drawings in Stone." It depicts two figures carved intaglio. Each figure shows both obverse and reverse surfaces that are reciprocal to its counterpoints/ thereby creating a pseudo carving in the round all wining 2" depth of stone. The pigeon is nearly carved in the round with that bird nearly separate from the rectangle of the main sculpture.
