I found this stone of Portuguese pink marble and noticed a faint blue-gray vein within the stone. This intrigued me. Could this be the Mark of Cain, unrecognized? My imagination took me to the moment after Cain has killed his brother, Abel. He is lying to his father; his eyes point to the left signaling the lie. His nose is broken from the fight. Some believe that the mark is the birth of racism.
